Vday dinner at Kombi Rock!

Finally received the photos from our Valentine’s Day dinner over at Kombi Rock. This year’s Vday was slightly different from the last 2 years. This year, I was lucky enough to win a giveaway held by Nylon Singapore. The giveaway consists of a 4-course dinner over at Kombi Rock, a photo shoot by Onesweetaffair and a ride in their vintage vehicles. All of these add up to about $500 plus? It was our first time there and the both of us had a great experience.

We were told to arrive slightly earlier to prepare for the photo shoot and the both of us ended up earlier than expected but was glad that we were able to start of the shoot shortly after. It was our first time having photo shoot so we were quite excited and nervous about it. It was definitely a good experience for the both of us and everything went on quite smoothly.

Sharing some of the photos taken by onesweetaffairs

Not forgetting some of the photos we have taken by ourselves! :)

The desserts that we were served with!

Overall interior of the place! :)
That's all for now!

Bangkok Day 3, 4, 5! (Wanton Mee, Terminal 21, Mr Jones' Orphanage)

Bangkok Day 3!

Woke up in the morning to conquer the remaining parts of Platinum mall. Managed to buy myself a few tops after shopping for 2 days. Quite an achievement I guess. Because our breakfast had been almost the same every single day, we decided to just fill our stomach a little and have something else when we are out. While walking, we stopped by a chicken rice stall to have a cup of Ice Thai Milk Tea and a plate of chicken rice to share. This chicken rice stall is not the same as the one famous Chicken rice stall. Saw online that they are the competitors of the pink stall chicken rice.
After we were done, we started our challenge to shop and conquer the remaining parts of the mall. Can’t really remember the exact details thereafter. But I remember that we go to Siam and Central World everyday! Haha!
So around evening, we made our way down to Terminal 21 for shopping. First time there and it is indeed a unique shopping mall filled with different themes and their toilet are also in sync with the theme. Left after dinner and we got our dinner settled at the food court there! The food in the food court was freaking cheap! A 100 baht for 2 plates of rice and a cup of juice. Where to find? But of course, we didn’t expect the food to be very nice. Headed over to Siam via the BTS. Thought that we could go to the night market again to do some shopping but we did not realize that night market don’t open on Monday night. In the end, we decided to go for a massage because both our legs were already on the verge of breaking after the days of walking. We were stuck between Siam Relax and Chang Massage and took a risk to enter Siam Relax. Each time we go to somewhere, we will always check for the reviews. We were glad that the massage at Siam Relax was more than good! The therapist that served the both of us was very nice. Anyway, the both of us opted for the Thai massage, because we thought that we needed a full body massage so badly! Glad that they didn’t disappoint us. 1 hour for 300 baht is considered reasonably cheap to us.

Lastly, we concluded that Monday night in Bangkok is boring. There’s nothing much we could do after our massage. Ended our night just like this.

Day 4
Headed back to Platinum Mall again to last minute shopping before we leave for Singapore the next day.
Shopped for about 2 hours or less, and headed out for lunch over at the famous Wanton Mee stall since we didn’t manage to try it the day before. Upon reaching, there was a long queue right outside, with quite a lot of Singaporeans in the queue. It didn’t take us long to be seated but because there were too many customers, our order took quite some time to come. In my opinion, the wanton mee wasn’t as fantastic as what I thought it was going to be. The portion was so small that it can hardly fill the stomach. We also ordered the pork leg, which tasted quite nice. Total meal was about 200-300 baht. Can’t really remember the price.

Headed to Siam right after our meal for some shopping. But because we had walked so much, both of us were so tired and ended up eating again. This time round trying Mr Jones’ Orphanage! They have a wide selection of cakes and I was so tempted to eat everything but then my stomach was already too full from all the food I had since morning. Ordered a cup of coffee and red velvet cake for boyfriend to try, as this is his first time trying it. The reason why we keep eating non-stop was also because that day was considered our last day to eat the food in Bangkok. So no matter fat or not, we are just going to stuff ourselves with all of it with no regrets! Walked all the way back to Central World via the link way. It wasn’t as far as I thought, probably because of the sheltered link way that makes the walking bearable under the hot weather. Another round of shopping to ensure that we did not miss out any good deals!

Since it was our last day, we make our way to the Big C supermarket to buy some food back for our family and friends. We were shopping so happily that everything got a little out of hand. Everything seems so cheap that we kept throwing into the trolley only to realize that it cost us a thousand baht for all the things! Back to hotel to drop all our stuff and rested before heading out for dinner. We were clueless of where to go next as it was still quite early for dinner. In the end, we went for round 2 of massage at Number One massage. This time round we only did the foot massage but I wasn’t very pleased with the service provided. The lady was like touching my legs more than really massaging it. I didn’t really feel anything from it. Anyway, it was only 200 baht for an hour, that’s 100 baht cheaper than those located at Siam. When we were done, it was pouring outside and we were stuck there without any umbrella. The rain came just right when we decided not to bring the umbrella out. We waited for a while before we leave for dinner. Headed over to Central World again for our dinner over at Ding Tai Fung.  The DTF there wasn’t as good as those in Singapore but definitely cheaper than the current price in Sg. We gobbled our food down within 10 minutes and were still starving after that. What to do? Have more food! Headed over to Siam night market after dinner to do last minute shopping. Walked down the same street and got myself a new tote bag for school! 150 baht only! What a steal! Headed back to hotel to do our last minute packing before flying back home the next day!
one of the roadside stall: Banana pancake prata!

Back to Singapore and this trip is definitely one of the trips that I will remember! More places to explore the next time round when I am back!

Day off!

It has been almost a month since I last updated. Had been really busy recently that I haven’t got the time to update this space. And since my internship has sort of ended, I guess I should be able to fill up this space more often. Then again, it would only be possible if I have things to update. Haha

So not too long ago, I got my passport renewed! And yes I’m going to BKK in less than 3 weeks! Really excited about it. It has been about 4 years since I was there! So, took a day off to collect my passport as well as taking the time to go dating with my fav boy! Went around to a few places after we were done with the collection. It was really fast if you have made an appointment before the collection. I was really amazed by the speed. Less than a minute and I was done!

As usual, we went around to explore some cafes. Initial plan was to head over to The Bravery, but we left shortly after being seated. It was because there was limited for us and we thought we should have something else for lunch. Headed to the nearby coffeeshop for lunch, and headed to town to do some shopping! After that, we made our way to Common Man Coffee Roaster. Heard so much about it and seen so much on instagram and thought that we should make a trip down to see what they have. The ambience of the café was really good but then the food was a little pricy. But I guess given the portion of the food, it is consider reasonable? Boyfriend and I didn’t try the main course; instead we ordered the coffee and Churros. It was my first time having Churros, but I guess the Churros there had leave me with a bad impression of it. It’s so oily and hard. Was really disappointed with it. Nonetheless it was really a good day spent with my fav boy!

So while on our way back, we spotted some good OOTD spot and started taking photos!

Weekend // Celebrations

Met up with Happy Cape last Friday to celebrate Wilson’s birthday and it had been really long since most of us get to gather together! Missing those times we had together in Taiwan. Dinner over at Marche, however I was a little disappointed with the variety of food that was available. Haven’t step into Marche for at least 3 year, and can’t really remember what they serve, other than the rosti. I always thought that they serve a great deal of food, but I actually have problem deciding what to eat. But thankfully the dinner was still filling enough to last me through the crazy night of drinking.

Headed opposite of Somerset to find a bar to chill, but it was already fully packed before 9pm! In the end, we went to Life of Liquor (LOL) at Prinsep Street. First time there, and different from what I thought it was like. Haven’t drunk that much beer in the longest time. I was never a fan of beer ever since the last time when I got drunk. Some catching up and games to make the birthday boy drunk but we failed. Nonetheless, still a great and crazy night!
Saturday was a great sleep in day after a long night! Snuggled in bed for as long as I wish. After internship started, I have never gotten much sleep and I really love to sleep as much as I could. 4 more weeks before intern ends! Headed out to Tampines for some fruit tarts after a long while! The last time we had it was almost a year ago! Those that we tried wasn’t that fantastic, should have just stick to the usual fruit tarts. Back home and spent the night watching shows to end our night!

Last Sunday had an impromptu date with boyfriend right after tuition! Headed back home to change out and everything before heading out to Cups N Canvas over at Selegie Road. Didn’t know that there was a café and it is quite a nice place to be on a Sunday late afternoon! Place wasn’t as crowded as we expected to be! Definitely love Sunday like this, chilling in a café after hours of tuition and just sitting there, enjoying cakes and coffee with the one I love. It would be nice if everyday can be like this.

Dinner over at Aston and I haven’t had Aston for years, can’t even remember when was my last! One of the more valuable place to have western food, and I have been missing it for years.

Perfect day with the perfect one!

Happy 20th!

A little too late for this post but still I would want to post it up! It is our 20th and I always love this day so much. At the same time, it’s also sister day with the girls. Sadly, we still didn’t really get to meet up. Hopefully there will be more chances when Baoling is back.

Since it was our special day, as usual we went out for a date! Every outing and date with boyfriend always makes me very excited. I love going out to different places with him to explore with him! And he is also my trusty photographer who captures all the special moments and OOTD for me! Where can I find such an awesome boyfriend! And someone who always forgives me for all the things and words I have said, for always being so understanding. Truly blessed to have him around with me!

And so we made a trip down to Waffle Slayers for some waffles! I had wanted to go since long ago and we were finally there! Glad that it drizzled a little and the Sun was not as hot as usual. As usual, a coffee and waffle to share! It was a little crowded but we were really lucky and manage to secure a table.

It was around 5 when we were done, and we made our way done to Jcube for dinner. I guess that explains why I haven’t been losing weight lately. Dinner at Crystal Jade at Westgate! The day just got better with more and more food. I guess our appetite has just started growing bigger as the day goes by.

Happy 20th to dearest boyfriend! Thanks for being a more than awesome boyfriend! And I can't wait for more to come! <3
