Getaway x Batam

Finally it is Friday that also means that recess week is ending. But I’m glad that my recess week has always been 2 weeks since the start of university life. That’s because it’s always E-learning week for MAE students right after recess. Time flies and half a semester had passed. Last week had been a busy week with 2 mid terms and interview. No matter good or bad it has been, still glad that it’s finally over. Interview went well, it wasn't really an interview but more like a casual talking session instead. Though i am being accepted, but I'm actually not very keen in accepting it. Hope that I could get something better. And so, the only motivation to study for the week was the Batam trip with the Happy Cape clique. The trip could be better if we could stay there a little longer.  At least I managed to get a breather from school right after my tests to clear my mind and just relax and not think about anything.

This is also my first time to Batam. I know I sound a bit sua gu but I guess this trip was quite good since we had Jen to bring us around and her mom to send us to different places. Since it was only a 2D1N trip, we didn’t really get to do many things other than eating, walking around in the malls and chilling in café. And of course, going for massage. The last time round I had massage was during my trip with baoling to Bali. Because I’m scared of tickle, so I am not someone who is fond of getting a massage then again I thought that I needed it since my left shoulder has always been aching. We wanted to go to the highly recommended Isabella massage, only to realize that it was out of our budget Instead, we went to this other shop which is located next to it, called the Sakura Hotel or something as it looks more decent than those we had bypass.

After the massage, we went to do some grocery shopping and headed for dinner at this zichar place. Food was not bad just that portion of the food was a little too small.  Headed back to Jen’s place to wash up and everything and had a small birthday celebration for Carol.

Food and things are cheap in batam, and cause we got too much money leftover. All of us swept back home packets of Indo Mee.And since Kuah Lapis is also a must buy, I also bag home a small box!
